MST3K 30 Day Challenge: Day 8(ish) - Cinematic Titanic or RiffTrax?
Cinematic Titanic. I’ve seen more of their material (it’s easier to check them out since they’ve done so much less) and it feels more like MST3K. And besides my preference for Joel over Mike, they’ve also got Trace (his Crow is my favorite of all those who went into the “theater”) and Frank (who played my favorite character overall). Mary Jo and Josh are really great as well.
I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve seen from RiffTrax so far and think Mike, Kevin and Bill are all fantastic, but they have the same sort of negative vibe going on that I felt plagued the Sci-Fi era (Seasons 9 & 10 to be more specific) and made MST3K not as fun as it was before.
